Sat 2 May - Dawn Chorus Walk
Our dawn chorus walk starts at the entirely reasonable time of 5 am, because apparently birds refuse to schedule their concerts later in the morning. We start at Cow Common, Ewelme and walk along public footpaths to absorb the atmosphere returning to the Cress Beds centre for breakfast.
Sat 9 May - Family Nature Event
At this nature day, we will be kick sampling in the stream, looking for reverflies. There will also be owl pellets to dissect, moths to recognise and some skulls to identify. We will be putting up some bat boxes in the grounds too. Meet at Berrick and Roke village hall. From 9:30 to 12:30
Sat 13 Jun - Arboretum Walk and Picnic
Broad Arboretum (Earth Trust) walk and talk with John Brannan, ending with a picnic at the Clumps.
Meet at 6:15 to start at 6:45.
Sat 20 Jun - Moths and Farm Walk
Moth Discovery Breakfast and tour of Hale Farm to see regenerative farming in action, with the farmer Rupert Belcher.
